Lucky is Carolina Bucci’s first collection, inspired by the friendship bracelets Carolina would exchange with her friends as a child. In her Florentine atelier, 18k gold chains are handwoven together with vibrant silk threads to create bracelets and necklaces, each finished with tassels and an 18k gold icon in the shape of its Lucky charm. These icons are each tied to a different wish, so the identity needed to embody the elevated playfulness and strong sentimental aspect of the collection.
Inspired by Carolina’s own sprezzatura, the carefree and effortless nature of the brand, the Lucky icons are derivative of the tactile nature of the pieces and hint at a nostalgia. The icons have become a defining theme of the brand, featuring in collaborations with Italian stationery brand Pineider, textiler Loretta Caponi and scarf Faliero Sarti.

LIMITED EDITION SCARF
For the brand’s first implementation onto textile, the pattern is more intricate, taking over a larger surface to form an abstracted facade. Working in two inverted colorways, the pattern is created to be versatile, changing in look as it is worn, like a building looked at from a different angle, in a different light. The deep moss green, also used throughout the rest of the identity, alludes to a connection to nature and softens the harder geometry of the patterns.

MULTI-WISH LUCKY BRACELET ANIMATION
Personalisation is a core feature of the brand, so communicating the range of different “wishes”. The Multi-Wish Lucky bracelet features 18k gold and silk braids, joined with a clasp to make a malleable cuff. Each Lucky braid is customisable, and casts its own unique wish as it’s added to the bracelet.
This message had to be easily comprehensive, while inspiring customers to create their own unique set of wishes.
