Carolina Bucci’s Downtown collection combines Florentine roots with urban modernity. Inspired by the different neighbourhoods of New York City, the collection 

The collection’s visual presence needed elevated playfulness, while conveying a sense of variety. 36 different Downtown ring designs can be made from selecting one of twelve semi-precious stone cabochons, set into a body of 18k yellow, white or pink gold.


Designed campaign and brand materials for the Downtown collection, drawing on its urban, directional character. Emphasised contrast, rhythm, and negative space to echo the architectural influences within the pieces. Delivered a cohesive visual approach across lookbooks, web, and social, ensuring clarity and impact without excess.

CODING

Personalisation is a key aspect of the Carolina Bucci brand. I coded an app that simultaneously illustrates the customisability of the Downtown rings to customers, while also enabling them to play with different combinations of 18k gold and semi-precious stone cabochons. Using HTML, CSS and JavaScript inside an embedded iframe, the option to download an image of the ring becomes active once the user has selected choices for both components.
